An Early Meiji Period, 19th century manuscript, being a collection of Courtesan Poetry, accompanied by illustrations. Included is the Noh Play Eguchi, the tragedy of Oe Sadaki and Princess Rikiju and Yujoki.

There are 26 pages of wonderfully drawn ink illustrations, with one full page example.

One manuscript in quarto (24 x 17 cm), 28 pages

This manuscript is in very good shape, with minor rubbing and wear to the pages, with some soiling and staining to the outer margins of the covers, and a small damp stain to the upper margin of the pages, not affecting text.
