That Guy With the Books is an independently operated Canadian based antiquarian bookstore, opening its online doors in 2019 from out of Toronto.
We buy and sell rare and unique texts of all topics and bindings, with specific focuses on theology, history, literature, illustrated works, fine bindings, and vellum bound books from the 16th to 17th century.
We also have a small but growing inventory of Japanese print books and manuscripts, as well as other print-based items and ephemera for sale.
We do handle the purchase books and paper-based items, whether as individual volumes or larger collections, and are happy to arrange house calls if required. We also offer appraisal services and take books on consignment occasionally.
For more information on these additional services, please visit the "Sell to Us" and "Appraisal" sections on the site, or feel free to contact us directly.
TGWTB is operated and managed independently by Toronto-based bookseller, buyer, and collector Zubairul Islam. As a high school library volunteer, he first developed his love for antiquarian print when he received a copy of GA Henty's The Dragon and the Raven, and from there continued to cultivate his interest in collecting, leading him to the establishment of this antiquarian store.
That Guy With The Books is a member of the Independent Online Booksellers’ Association, and are bound by their ethical bookselling guidelines.
We hope to deliver with that drive and passion by helping you find the books you are looking for.
