A Mid Edo Period, late 18th century edition of Akisato’s Yamato Meisho Zue, also known as an Illustrated Guide to Famous Places in Yamato. The work depicts the very center of Nara, focusing on numerous religious sties, including Horyu-ji Temple, Toshodai-ji Temple, and Saidai-ji Temple among others, and there are numerous, beautiful landscapes throughout, totaling 62 full pages of woodblock illustrations. This is the third of seven volumes.

One volume in quarto (25.7 x 18.5 cm), 58 leaves

This volume is in very good shape, with minor rubbing and wear to the binding. There is a small worm track to the upper margins, not affecting any text. There is minor soiling affecting several pages.
