A French translation on the life of Arthur Wellesley, First Duke of Wellington. Arthur has been widely regarded as one of the most important historical figures of the nineteenth century. During his military career, he commanded the Allied forces in the Battle of Waterloo, cumulating in Napoleon's exile to the island of St. Helena. He was also Prime Minister of the United Kingdom for two terms running under the Conservative Party.

On note of condition, this volume is in good shape, with the stiff cardboard covers holding well, although the front cover doesn’t seem to full cover the title page. The page edges shows signs of wear, with little to no foxing and staining throughout the volume.
