Condition: Good
Two 14th century leaf fragments taken from a medieval manuscript, written in Latin, and in an early gothic script. There is a large three line initial in red. These are matching fragments, connecting the text to each other.
These fragments were once used as binder’s waste, saved from a bookbinding, and likely used for pastedown reinforcement.
These manuscript fragments are written with 19 and 26 lines of text present.
Two manuscripts on parchment, 4 x 22.8; 3.5 x 32 cm
These fragments are in good shape, with some rubbing and staining to the parchment, with several paper remnants stuck to one fragment.
