An early 19th century edition of The Holy Bible Containing the Old and New, Translated Out of The Original Tongues: and with the former Translations diligently Compared and Revised by his Majesties Special Command. Also bound in is a copy of the Psalms of David in English Metre, with Translations and Paraphrases at the end.
This is the second of two volumes, The Bible beginning with Isaiah and ending with Revelations. The latter books of the Old Testament, and the New Testament in its entirety.
There is a contemporary owner inscription dated 1807.
This volume most recently belonged to the library collection of Mulberry House, a former rectory of High Ongar church.
This volume has been finely bound in a contemporary red leather, which is in a wallet style, serving as additional protection.
