A mid 18th century edition of the Holy Bible, containing the Old and New Testaments, newly translated out of the original tongues, and with the former translations diligently compared and revised, being printed by A. Kincaid. This is the first of two volumes, beginning with Genesis and ending with Ecclesiasticus and the Song of Solomon.
This volume most recently belonged to the library collection of Mulberry House, a former rectory of High Ongar church.
This volume is in a beautiful, near contemporary leather binding with gilt tooling, especially so to the spine.
One finely bound volume in octavo (17.6 x 10.6 cm), A12-R8
This volume is in very good shape, with minor wear and scuffing to the binding, with a few tiny dents to the boards and the wear heaviest to the edges and hinges. One leaf in Genesis has a small tear, with minor letter loss. There is very little foxing or staining throughout.
