A mid 18th century Baskett edition of The Holy Bible containing the Old Testament and the New. Newly translated out of the original tongues, and with the former diligently compared and revised, by his Majesties special command. This is the second of two volumes, containing the entire New Testament, and part of the Old, beginning with part of Psalms and going onto Malachai.
There are several ownership notes, including a bookplate, and a dated inscription of 1816 for one Harriet Nobhouse Junior.
This volume most recently belonged to the library collection of Mulberry House, a former rectory of High Ongar church.
This volume has been finely bound in full contemporary leather, with gilt tooling to the binding.

This volume is in very good shape, with some rubbing and wear to the binding, heavier to the spine and corners. There is very little foxing or staining throughout.
