This volume has been bound in a contemporary panelled calf.
The volume bears the bookplate of Professor Gerald E. Aylmer FBA (1926-2000), historian of 17th-century England and master of St Peter’s College, Oxford.

This volume is in good shape, with minor rubbing and wear to the binding, and cracking to the hinges. There is very little foxing or staining throughout.
