An Early Meiji Period, Late 19th century trio of cartography manuscripts entitled San'yō kaijō Zenzu ten-chi Setonaikai Zensansatsu Meijigonen, or the Complete Atlas of the San'yō Region Seas, containing Heaven, Pond, and the Seto Inland Sea.
There are almost 150 pages of hand drawn and colored full-page illustrations of Islands, various castles, and the Sea, all nearly depicted and labeled profusely.
Three manuscripts in quarto (24.8 x 17 cm), 16, 30, 30 leaves
These manuscripts are in very good shape, with minor rubbing and wear to the bindings. There is very light, scattered staining throughout, in trace spots and such.
