A mid 16th century Renaissance Period charter from France, written in French, handwritten on parchment in the year 1542, from the reign of King Francis I. The charter is written in an elaborate script, with a detailed initial at the beginning. There is an elaborate signature at the end of the manuscript.
This charter has been written in a 22-line format.

This manuscript is in very good shape, with mild creasing and fold marks to the parchment. There is some parchment lacking to the bottom left, not obscuring any text. There is minimal staining.
