A scarce early 17th century edition of Sanchez’s Sermons on Sundays, and on the weekdays of Lent, in which Sermons are usually held more frequently. A collection of sermons, which was first published in 1597 by the theologian and Jesuit.
This volume has been bound in blind stamped pigskin over wooden boards. To the front cover is a tooled image of the Crucifixion, and to the rear, is a tooled image of the Salvador Mundi, with Christ holding the globus cruciger aloft in one hand. There is one clasp present.
This volume bears the stamp of the dissolved monastery library Franziskaner Kloster Dettelbach. There is also an ownership inscription bearing Jesuit provenance.
