An extremely scarce mid 16th century of Polygranus’s Postillae Sive Enarrationes in Evangelia, a collection of sermons. This is the first volume of three. There are several woodcut initials.
This volume has been bound in blind stamped pigskin over wooden boards. There are tooled decorations to the center of the covers. There are roll stamped border icons. Remnants of the clasps are present.
This volume bears the stamp of the dissolved Franciscan monastery known as the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, in Miltenberg.
