Title: Medieval Quittance of the 100 Years War for Lord Pierre de Rechignevoisin. Manuscript on Parchment, 1416. With A Damaged Wax Seal
Condition: Very Good

An early 14th century manuscript, written in French, handwritten on parchment during the reign of King Charles VI, and more significantly, during the 100 Years War that enveloped England and France in a constant struggle. In particular, written during the beginning of the Lancastrian War. The manuscript has been written in an elaborate script.

The manuscript is a quittance of payment for wages owed to Lord Pierre de Rechignevoisin, for having been employed along with his men-at-arms, in the protection and safety of Charles VI and Paris.

This charter comes with an original red wax seal, albeit heavily damaged. The manuscript has been backed with early paper.

This manuscript has been written in a 7-line format.

One manuscript on parchment, 10 x 25.5 cm

This manuscript is in very good shape, with some old crumpling marks. There is some staining. The wax seal is cracked, with half the coat of arms lacking.
