Title: Medieval Charter Dating from the 100 Years War. Manuscript on Parchment, February 23rd, 1408. Acknowledgement of a Lease to Hughes Poliani, with a Signum
Condition: Good

An early 15th century Medieval Period charter, written in French, handwritten on parchment, and more significantly, during the 100 Years War that enveloped England and France in a constant struggle. The manuscript has been written in an elaborate script, with a signum at the end.

The manuscript regards the acknowledgement of a lease in emphyteusis by one Antoine Rostaing, to Hughes Poliani, both from the region of Alencon, and registered by one clerk Guilhem Caperdi.

This charter has been written in a 25-line format.

One manuscript on parchment, 16.2 x 24.5 cm

This manuscript is in good shape, with some old staining to the parchment. The manuscript has been affected by worming, with a bit of text loss to two lines in particular.
