An early 15th century Medieval Period charter, written in French, handwritten on parchment, and more significantly, during the 100 Years War that enveloped England and France in a constant struggle. The manuscript is written in a wretched squiggle of a script and makes me hope whoever penned this charter died of bubonic plague. There is however a lovely signum at the end, and early stitching work to repair a tear that developed.

Included with this manuscript as well are two additional copies of the very same charter, one made in 1642, and the other, 1722.

One manuscript on parchment, 30 x 24.6 cm

This manuscript is in good shape, with some old staining to the parchment. Portions have been torn away to the right side of the manuscript, with some text loss.

bear spots and faint damp staining, with little to none throughout the rest of the volume.
