
Title: Medieval Charter Dating from the 100 Years War. Manuscript in Folio, June 1411. Regarding the Division of Guilhem Tamisier’s wealth to his Sons

An early 15th century Medieval Period charter, written in French, handwritten on paper, and more significantly, during the 100 Years War that enveloped England and France in a constant struggle. The manuscript is written in an elaborate script, with a detailed initial at the beginning.
The manuscript regards one Guilhem Tamisier the Elder, and his desire to make a fair division of wealth between all his son as he is in his elderly years. In the document, it is written he brings to the notary a “certain paper to translate from Provençal into Latin”.
To his two sons and daughters, each is to receive a house and land, and to his wife Guinia, his personal property and fields of oats.

This manuscript is in very good shape, with old staining to the paper. The page edges are worn, with a bit of chipping.
