A late 15th century third edition of de Busti’s Mariale, a series of treatises on aspects of Marian Theology by the Milanese Minoriet. A Franciscan friar at Legnano, near Milan. He was an early advocate of the Monti di Pietà, a pawnshop which offered small loans at much more favourable terms than the open market.
There is an ex-libris inscription for the Augustinian Hermits of Freiburg im Breisgau.
The volume is present in its original blind tooled leather binding, though the spine has been crudely restored.
Leaves A1 and A8 are lacking, supplemented with photocopies.

This volume is in very good shape, with wear and old worming to the binding, and the restored spine hinges lightly cracked in places. There is very little foxing or staining throughout.
