A manuscript leaf from a late 15th century illuminated Book of Hours. The leaf is written in Latin, using a gothic script, with a large and detailed 6-line initial. There are 12, smaller 1 and 2-line initials against red or blue, and the entire verso is decorated with a fully hand painted border, of trawling floral designs, with some illumination present.

This leaf is written in a 19-line format.

One illuminated manuscript on parchment, 17.1 x 12.1 cm

This manuscript is in very good shape, with minor staining and fading to the text. The lower right end of the leaf has suffered is a bit of chipping and damage.
