An early 14th leaf, taken from a Medieval Law Codex, possibly the Sextus Liber Decretalium, or Decretales Gregorii IX, written in Latin, and produced in Italy, in a Gothic minuscule. There are several red and blue initials. The main text has been surrounded by numerous lines of gloss.
This leaf was once used as binder’s waste.
This main text of the manuscript is written in a double-column, 42-line format, with the glossed text being twice as many lines.
One manuscript on parchment, 45 x 35 cm
This manuscript is in good shape, with rubbing, wear, and staining to the parchment. There are several small tears. Much of the script is faded.
