A Late Edo Period, mid 19th century edition of Shotei Kinsui’s Kanjō Suetsumuhana, or Leisurely Love and Flowers, the love and conflicts of two couples, including Fukumiya Yonejirō, his acquaintance, the prostitute Seikatsu, and her sister Osato. This work was printed during the 10th to 12th years of the Tenpo Era.
There are 86 full page woodblock illustrations throughout, many forming double page illustrations.
15 ezoshi booklets in octavo (18.1 x 12 cm), 19, 20, 22, 18, 18, 22, 18, 18, 25, 19, 20, 23, 19, 19, 19 leaves
These volumes are in good to fair shape, with some rubbing and wear to the bindings, with three booklets heavily worn to the sides. There is soiling and staining throuhgout, with two booklets more heavily worn in places, one booklet with very heavy staining throughout, and four booklets with worming, mostly to the margins.
