A scarce mid 16th century edition of the works of Petrarch, together with some beautiful annotations, taken from the very learned prose of Pietro Bembo, along with a collection of all his rhymes reduced under the five vowel letters.
This edition is illustrated with six lovely woodcuts and is sparsely annotated.
Pages 43 to 56 and 65 to 68 are lacking from the first part, and the second part stops at page 254.

This volume is in very good shape, with minor rubbing and wear to the binding. The first title page has been reinforced with additional paper backing. There is a restoration to page 10. There is some staining throughout.
