Author: Catholic Church
Publisher: Lyon, appresso Guillaume Rouillé
Condition: Very Good
A mid 16th century edition of the New Testament, written in Latin and Italian. Though this New Testament was printed in two volumes, it seems to have been rebound into three, though there are only two of three volumes present, the first volume unusually bound, containing only the Books of Matthew, Mark, and Apocalypse, numbering pages 1-119, and 525-559. The third volume contains the Pauline and Catholic Epistles, containing those Books of the Bible from the New Testament. The Books of Luke, John, and the Acts of the Apostles are lacking. There are two engraved title pages.
There is an exlibris stamp for Cornwell House to the front endpaper.
These volumes have been rebacked.
Two finely bound volumes in 32mo (11.7 x 8.2 cm), 1-119, 525-559+(13), 326-524 leaves
These volumes are in very good shape, with minor rubbing and wear to the binding, and slight cracking to the front hinges. There is a small corner lacking to the last leaf of the first volume, not affecting text. There is very little foxing or staining throughout, save to the first and last pages of the first volume.
