An early 18th century first edition of the Works of Homer, containing both epics the Iliad and Odyssey, in Greek and Latin. These editions represent a newer translation by Stephan Bergler and Johann Heinrich Lederlin.
There is a folding map in the Odyssey, displaying the locations visited by Odysseus in his journey from Troy to Ithaca, reproduced from Ortelius' celebrated Renaissance atlas
Two finely bound volumes in 12mo, (4)+12+619+(8), (2)+23+(1)+569+(7) pages
These volumes are in very good shape, with heavier wear and rubbing to the first volume of the Iliad, and some splitting to the hinges. There is a bit of worming affecting the first few leaves as well, and minor staining to the first volume, but very little to the second volume.
