An intriguing mid 16th century sammelband of three of the works of Hesiod, beginning with the Greek text Erga kai hēmerai, also known as Works and Days. There are added to the same short scholia, first written by Jacobus Ceporinus, but now significantly expanded by John Frisius Tigurinus, in which certain obscure words and sentences, and incidentally the logic of Greek poems, are explained; and also a few selected Greek epigrams, to which we have added a Latin translation for the sake of those who are students of both languages.

Secondly, is a fully Latin translation of the same work, translated into Latin through elegiac poem form, by Georg Rotaller.
Lastly, there is one last text regarding Erga kai hēmerai, being a commentary by Philip Melanchthon. Three differently printed works that, when bound together, serve as a perfect sammelband of related texts.
Three works bound into one vellum volume in 12mo, 119+(2) pages, 67, 44 leaves
This volume is in good shape, with some rubbing and old staining to the binding, and some vellum lacking to the foot of the spine. The blanks and flyleaves are heavily worn and torn. There is some foxing and staining throughout, heaviest to the margins.
