A mid 17th century edition of Faber’s Tripartite Work of Sermons, being a mixed set with two different imprints. Contained is the 1659 fourth edition of De festis sanctorum, or On the Feasts of the Saints. There is the 1646 third edition of Pars Hyemalis, and the 1646 fourth edition of Pars Aestivalis, for Winter and Summer.
These volumes have been bound in blind stamped pigskin over wooden boards. There are decorative icons to the center of the covers. There are roll stamped border icons. There are two functioning clasps to De festis sanctorum, and one damaged clasp to Pars Aestivalis.
Three pigskin bound volumes in large quarto, (16)+807+(19), (8)+889+(19), (8)+1020+(17) pages
These volumes are in very good to good shape, with some rubbing and staining to the binding of De festis sanctorum and peeling to the spine. The bindings of Pars Hyemalis and Aestivalis are significantly more rubbed and worn, with some peeling to the bindings. Several pages of Pars Hyemalis are dogeared. There is foxing and staining throughout.
