A scarce and early 18th century bilingual edition of the Office of Holy Week in Latin and French, for the use of Rome and Paris; with the explanation of the Ceremonies of the Church, & some prayers taken from Scripture, for Confession & Communion, and on the mysteries that are celebrated during this holy time, in a fine burgundy morocco binding.
The Holy Week offices (liturgies) lead worshipers through the events of the final days before Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection. This volume gathers the prayers and biblical readings appointed for the entire week, including Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday. The text is in parallel columns of French and Latin.
