Title: Manuscript Commonplace Book Collection. 52 Manuscripts, 1 Annotated Book. Early 19th to Mid 20th Century
Condition: Very Good to Poor

A large collection of manuscript commonplace books from the early 19th to mid 20th century, with 52 bound manuscripts, and one heavily annotated printed book.

The commonplace books deal with a variety of topics, like poetry, various personal notes, prayers, proverbs, quotes, letters, and more. One of the commonplace books is a printed work full of inscriptions and notes. They are largely in Dutch, with a few French and German examples. There are several sketches and usage of hand coloring to several books.

The bindings vary in condition, with many largely in very good shape, only suffering from some rubbing and wear to the bindings, and a bit of ink staining and foxing. Several examples, namely the softcover manuscripts, have significantly more damaged bindings. Additional photos are available upon request.
