A set of four Muromachi Period, 14th to 16th century tanzaku format strips of poetry, dating from the late 14th to 16th century.
Each strip is written in a fine hand showcasing different brushstrokes and skill, and each piece has been painted with cloudy interior decorations, and golden trees, clouds, flowers, and gold sprays in the background to accentuate the text.

These manuscripts are in very good to good shape, with most only suffering minor wear and paint scraping to the paper. Several examples are more worn, one example in particular not being backed with any supporting papers and being in worse condition.
