A late 18th century trio of Biblical texts, beginning with The Book of Common Prayer, and administration of sacraments, and other rites and ceremonies of the Church, according to the use of the Church of England, together with the Psalter or Psalms of David, pointed as they are to be sung or said in churches.
Following that is The Holy Bible Containing the Old Testament and The New: Newly Translated Out of The Original Tongues: and with the former Translations diligently Compared and Revised by his Majesties Special Command. Lastly is The Whole Book of Psalms, Collected into English Metre. The Bible has a large, engraved frontispiece.
This volume most recently belonged to the library collection of Mulberry House, a former rectory of High Ongar church.
This volume has been finely bound in full contemporary red leather, with tooling to the covers and spine.
Three works finely bound in one volume in folio (30.1 x 22.1 cm), A4-O4, A8-Eee1+A8-M8+Fff8-Zzz2+A4+F4
This volume is in good shape, with some rubbing and wear to the binding, with the front hinge cracked but holding, and some leather peeling to the head of the spine. There is very little foxing or staining throughout.
