A late 15th century and second Koberger edition of Commentaries on the Psalms by Saint Bruno, Bishop of Würzburg, being the only surviving work by him.
Also known as Bruno of Carinthia, he was a Greek and Hebrew scholar of great renown and served as Imperial chancellor of Italy from 1027 to 1034 for Conrad II, Holy Roman Emperor.
The main text is printed in a single column format and then flanked by two columns of commentary from Saint Bruno.
There is an old ex-libris inscription for the Monastery of Andechs.
The volume has been finely rebound in full leather, with Latin text stamped to the front cover.
One finely bound volume in quarto, CXLIX (actually CXLVIII)+(12) leaves
This volume is in very good shape, with minor scuffing to the read cover of the binding. There is very light worming to the outer margin of the first few leaves, not affecting text. There is very little foxing or staining throughout.
