An extremely scarce, early 16th century edition of Lucantonio Giunta's Lucantonio Giunta's being printed the same year as a quarto edition he made.
The work has been printed throughout in black and red ink, with scores of pages of musical notation, hundreds of massive woodcut initials and illustrations, four full-page borders, and a beautiful, full-page woodcut of the Crucifixion.
The volume has been neatly rebound, with rubricated post incunable or incunable pages decorating the boards.
The first two leaves, being the title page and first calendar leaf, are lacking.
USTC records three existing copies of this edition in libraries, and only within Italy.

This volume is in very good shape, with minor rubbing and wear to the binding. There is light, scattered soiling and staining throughout, with a handful of leaves at the end more heavily affected to the margins.
