A Late Edo to Early Meiji Period, 19th century manuscript sketchbook of various plants and birds, mostly being herons, and all being relatively small illustrations.

One manuscript in folio (28 x 19.5 cm), 20 pages of pen and ink illustrations

This manuscript is in very good shape, with some wear and soiling to the covers. There is light staining to the outer margin, only very lightly touching the odd illustration.
