A late 15th century and first edition of de Magistris’ Quaestiones Perutiles Super total Philosophia Naturali, being a series of nine scientific, medical, astronomical, biological, and psychological commentaries on Aristotle.
This edition is also one of only five known imprints from this early Parma Press.
There is rubrication throughout in red, with red Lombard initials, including a few examples with beautiful flourishes.
Leaves a2, a9, and x6 are lacking, and supplemented with glossy photocopies. The first blank is also lacking.
One volume in folio, 160 of 164 leaves
This volume is in very good shape, with minor wear and scuffing to the binding. The first and last leaves are slightly soils, with a bit of initial worming as well. There is very minor, scattered staining throughout.
