An early 17th century edition of Gouthoeven Chronicle and the History of Holland, (with West-Vriesland) of Zeeland, and of Utrecht. Newly reviewed, increased, corrected and decorated with some Ghelacht-registers and the Genealogy of the forenamester Nobles, midtsgaders Cities, Villages, Heeren-Huysen, and the other descriptions of Holland.
There are some woodcuts of the counts and countesses of Holland scattered throughout.
Pages 1-16 and 195-196 are lacking from the first part. Pages 33-64, 81-112, 200-202, 289-337
Two parts bound into one volume in folio, (18)+ 611 of 629, (12)+ 248 of 360 pages
This volume is in good shape, with some rubbing and wear to the binding. The outer margins of the first few preliminary leaves are heavily frayed and worn. Several leaves have small tears and pieces lacking, without affecting text. There is some foxing and toning throughout.
