A Meiji to Early Showa Period, 20th century painting and calligraphy album, being a selection of brightly produced watercolor paintings of various botanical gatherings, as well as fish and insects as well. Altogether there are ten pages of watercolor paintings, and four pages of calligraphy.
The paintings have been finely bound in orihon album format, with decorated, dark yellow brocade fabric covers, with flowering designs as well.
One painting album in octavo (17.8 x 12 cm), 14 leaves
This manuscript is in very good shape, with light rubbing and wear to the covers, with a few small edges rubbed and worn down. There is very light foxing and soiling throughout.
