Title: Two Second World War Diaries for Lieutenant J.S. MacPherson of the Royal Naval Barracks in Chatham. 1944-45
Author: J.S. Macpherson
Condition: Very Good

A pair of WWII diaries for one Lieutenant J.S. MacPherson, who served at the Royal Naval Barracks in Chatham, otherwise known as the HMS Pembroke. The diaries mention day to day activity at the barracks, with several mentions of air raids, and casual mentions of light gunfire. A surprisingly calming set of diaries in a rather turbulent period of history.

Two manuscripts in folio and quarto, 56, 31 leaves

On note of condition, these manuscripts are in very good shape, with rubbing and wear to the bindings, as well as some staining. There is very minor speckled staining throughout.
