A first edition of Burke’s Two letters from Mr. Burke to gentlemen in the city of Bristol. These letters were written to those merchants of Bristol opposed to Prime Minister Lord North’s proposal on improving free trade with Ireland. It was this decision and support for Catholic emancipation which eventually cost him his seat in Parliament.
