Title: Tractatus et Sermones, 1490. Nicely Rubricated With A Fish Doodle, and 14th Century Manuscript Pastedown with Hufnagel Notation. Scarce at Auction
Author: Petrus de Alliaco
Publisher: Strasbourg, [Printer of the 1483 Jordanus de Quedlinburg, [=Georg Husner]]
Condition: Good
A late 15th century and second edition of de Alliaco’s collection of his treatises and sermons, which was first published by the Brothers of the Common Life in Brussels around 1484.
The volume is neatly rubricated throughout, with one fish doodle, and the pastedowns appear to be from a 14th century German Missal or Gradual, with Hufnägel Notation.
The final blank is lacking. The work is textually complete.
One pigskin bound volume in folio, 163 of 164 leaves
There is heavy rubbing and wear to the binding. There is also heavy staining and old mold damage to the upper margins (with signs of restoration to some of those affected sections), surprisingly not affecting the text too heavily, with very minor text loss. Otherwise in good shape.
