An early 20th century edition of Ruskin’s Stones of Venice, bound in vellum and bearing stunning hand-painted work to the covers. The boards are painted and lettered with various scenes of Venice, St. Mark’s Lion to the read, along with other floral designs.
One hand-painted vellum bound volume in 12mo, (2)+IV+322 pages
On note of condition, this volume is in good shape, with very little rubbing and wear to the boards. The front joint is cracked, but the linen cords under the pastedown are intact, preserving the binding. There is virtually no foxing or staining throughout.
