A scarce early 17th century edition of Culens’ Group of Spiritual Exercises and Various Sermons for the Different States of Men: Collected from the Holy Scriptures.

This volume has been bound in blind stamped pigskin over wooden boards. There is a tooled image of the symbol of the Society of Jesuits to the center of the front cover, and an image of Mary and Infant Jesus to the rear. There are roll stamped border icons.

This volume is in very good shape, with rubbing and wear to the binding, and some chipping to the foot of the spine. The clasps are lacking. There is foxing and light staining throughout.
