From cherry blossoms in bloom, to bright red maple trees, countless flowers and more, the nature of this landscape is vibrant in its variety. But it is further enhanced with dozens of birds such as ducks, sparrows, and larger avians such as peacocks and crane, all with their details and plumage brilliantly highlighted.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman';\"\u003eThis scroll has been attributed to the Late Edo Period artist \u003cb\u003eSasaki Izumikei\u003c\/b\u003e (1773-1848), with his signature and seals. Born in Kaga, his given name was Moritsugu. He went to Kyoto and studied under Tsuruzawa Tansaku and Tansen. He served the Maeda clan and was appointed as a Hokan. He was also skilled in waka and renga.
