An extremely scarce mid 16th century edition of Sentences and proverbs from the Latin poets principally from Latin writers Plautus, Terence, Horatius, Juvenal, Persius, and Seneca. Added are the profane sentences of Leosthenes Coluandris, collected from various writers, for the common use of children. The collection was first printed in Paris by Robert Estienne.
The rear flyleaf has a doodle dated 1629, with a tear through it. There are inscriptions to the rear blank.
