A 19th century edition of the Sen Ji Mon, or Thousand Kanji Classic, which is a Chinese poem originally used as a primer for educational purposes for teaching kanji to a younger audience. This is a handwritten copy by an unknown hand, and present with several illustrations as well, most likely being written sometime during the late Edo or early Meiji era.
This manuscript is handwritten with flowing calligraphy, and hand drawn on Japanese washi paper.
