An extremely scarce late 16th century edition of Francofordi’s Forest of Words and Phrases, being a standalone second volume after his dictionary Sylva vocabulor.
This volume has been bound in blind stamped pigskin over wooden boards, with two functioning clasps. There are tooled central icons of God the Father holding Jesus Christ, and small angelic figures to the four corners of the central panel, for both covers. There are roll stamped border icons.

On note of condition, this volume is in very good shape, with some rubbing and wear to the binding, notably to the corners, and some staining. The first endpaper is partially torn. There is minor foxing throughout, with toning to the pages.
