The manuscript was penned by one \u003cb\u003eTotokusai Meizan\u003c\/b\u003e, an unknown artist, who appears to have compiled his works into a series of volumes, as this is described as Part Five of his series of Painting Techniques of the Masters of the Past and Present.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman';\"\u003eThe manuscript contains a series of 90 pages of various sumi-e ink wash paintings, some done in greyscale shades, and others of various hues.
