This edition is bound in a richly decorated and ornate cartonnage binding of the period, adorned with gilt, bright colors and designs, from flowers to various icons. There is a central design to both covers, featuring a fox or wolf cornering a goat in a well, in front of a cottage.
One finely decorated cartonnage volume in 12mo, 287 pages
On note of condition this volume is in very good shape, with minor rubbing and wear to the binding, notably to the corners. There is very little foxing or staining throughout, with heavier staining to the corner of page 284.
