Title: Notarial Manuscript for Rene Gouby, Manuscript on Parchment, 1511
Condition: Very Good

An early 16th century French notarial manuscript, dated 1511, written in a 14-line format, and presenting an elaborate signature at the end.

The manuscript involves one Rene Gouby, son of the late Simon Gouby, parishioner of Vernoil-le-Fourier in Maine-et-Loir, who sold an annuity to one François Thomas Cornileau, residing at the Notre Dame du Loroux (a Cistercian abbey in Vernantes, in Maine-et-Loir ). The manuscript is elaborately signed.

One manuscript on parchment, 30 by 12 cm

On note of condition, this manuscript is in very good shape, with some rubbing and staining to the rear of the parchment. The script itself is still very legible. The manuscript has been folded at one point, and there is a second, older, fold mark present.
