Title: Names of Registering Books for the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, 1869
Author: JCC Smith
Condition: Fair

An interesting handwritten manuscript containing an alphabetical list of names, corresponding with the year and number of books of each year that were registered, for the Prerogative Court of the Archbishop of Canterbury, from the 15th to early 19th century. Tipped in are several additional pages, including a print sheet of the Court itself.

One volume in 12mo, 26 leaves and several loose pages inserted

On note of condition, this manuscript is in fair shape, with wear and rubbing to the boards, and the spine having largely deteriorated, only holding in two spaces. There is little to no foxing or staining throughout. One leaf appears to be lacking for the letter Q and part of R.
