A late 17th century edition of Busenbaum’s Medulla Theologiae Moralis, An Easy and Clear Method of Resolving the Case of Consciousness, being the main work of the Munster Jesuit and theologian Hermann Busenbaum. Proving to be incredibly popular, the work was published in more than 200 editions.
Of Busenbaum, he was lecturer at the University of Cologne, rector of the Jesuit colleges in Hildesheim and Munster, and confessor of Bishop Christoph Bernhard Graf von Galen.
One volume in small 32mo (12 ½ x 7cm), (40)+808+(104) pages
On note of condition, this volume is in good shape, with rubbing and wear to the binding, and some surface cracking to the spine. There is heavy rubbing to the first 8 leaves, with text and image loss to the top of the pages. The gutters are exposed at page 360-361. The clasps are lacking.
